Associate Chair Dr. micha cárdenas as she has been named 2022 Anzaldúa Prize co-winner alongside Dr. Rana Jaleel at UC Davis!
She was awarded this prize for Her book Poetic Operations: Trans of Color Art in Digital Media. The award ceremony will be held at the NWSA Annual conference in Minneapolis MN. micha will also be speaking in the presidential panel at NWSA.

About the Award:
The prize is awarded for groundbreaking monographs in women’s studies that makes significant multicultural feminist contributions to women of color/transnational scholarship. This prize honors the work of Gloria Anzaldúa, a founding a scholar of Chicana cultural theory, feminist theory and queer theory.
